Description
A Headboard Built Like a Grid
Facet breaks the headboard into a grid of upholstered panels rather than one continuous surface, each block offset slightly from its neighbours. The result reads more like a piece of wall art than a conventional headboard, without losing the softness a bed needs.
Brushed Brass, Set Into the Seams
Slim brushed brass strips run horizontally through two of the panel columns, catching the light differently depending on the time of day. They’re set flush into the upholstery seams rather than applied on top, so the line stays crisp and doesn’t collect dust the way a surface-mounted trim would.
Offset Panels, Not a Repeating Pattern
The panel grid is deliberately uneven — taller blocks on the outer columns, a split centre column, brass lines placed asymmetrically left and right. It avoids the flat, repetitive look of a standard tufted grid, giving Facet a more architectural, one-off feel.
Premium Velvet, Made to Order
Every Facet headboard is hand-upholstered over a solid frame in premium velvet, each panel built and fitted individually before assembly. It ships as pictured in Taupe, and is also made to order in Charcoal, Deep Emerald, Terracotta, Navy, Ivory, and Silver Grey.
Living With Facet
Facet is made to order in Double, Queen, and King, sized to fit standard South African bed bases — confirm exact base width with us before ordering if you’re matching an existing frame. Vacuum the velvet panels regularly with a soft brush attachment along the direction of the pile, wipe the brass strips with a dry cloth only, and keep the headboard out of direct, harsh sunlight to protect the colour over time.
